The company "Robert Piering" existed from 1882 to 1943 in
Adorf/Vogtland. Robert Piering's father, Friedrich August Piering, founded a workshop in 1842.
Robert Piering first made a name for himself in 1882 with his invention "slide tube with
stabilizer". The first feedback on it was certainly a good basis to become self-employed. He began to
manufacture the first instruments under his name in the basement of his house. Due to the good sales
of his instruments - mainly his trombones - the size of the rooms was no longer sufficient, so the
construction of his workshop was started in 1897 and expanded a few years later.
